The first step in getting the ball rolling.
Tracking includes everything from pre-production up until you're happy with one of the takes of your song. We can either do a live recording (everybody playing at once), or do individual. We'll happily work with you so that you feel comfortable in the studio and can perform to your best ability.
Putting everything on beat and on time.
Editing is a post-production step that will fix the little pieces that weren't able to be necesarially fixed during tracking. We will make sure everything is put on the grid so it stays on beat, and also fix any hiccups that happened on whichever take we decide to use. This involves comping, beat detective, and/or some manual editing.
Some post-production creative magic.
At Dead Sunflower Productions, mixing is our forte. We will EQ, pitch correct, add on reverb other effects until it sounds perfect and up to your standards. If there's something you don't end up liking in one of the mixes, we'll be more than happy to work with you on it so that you can have something that you'll feel confident about releasing to the public.
And last, but not least, the glue that holds everything together.
This is the last bit on our part before something can be sent off. We'll add some finishing touches on EQ, give the track a little more volume and width, and make it sound generally pleasing to the human ears. After we hear that you're happy with the recording, then we'll hand it off to you and let you take it from there.
